Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Dunblane Museum

A charming, small museum with a warm welcome. Opened in 1943 and run entirely by volunteers, the original museum known as the Cathedral Museum was housed in the Deans House (built in 1624). Now extending into 8 small rooms, the museum has an eclectic mix of artefacts relating to the history of Dunblane and its Cathedral. Pride of place goes to a 4,000 year old necklace and a collection of over 7,000 communion tokens. If you are looking for ancestors in Dunblane, the museum holds kirkyard burial records. Outside the summer season, special openings of the museum can be arranged.
